HIDE.CO for the Tandy 200. HIDE.CO is a M/L program for making files invisable on the Tandy 200. HIDE.CO runs in the Alt LCD buffer so it won't conflict with anything else. When you run HIDE.CO it first shows you all, and I mean all, files in Ram, even ROM files like Basic and Telcom. Invisable files are displayed in reverse video. When HIDE.CO asks you for a filename enter the name exactly as it appears on the menu, upper and lower case matter! If HIDE.CO can't find the file it will exit back to the main menu. If it does find the file it will toggle the invisable status. If a file is visable, it will become invisable. If it was invisable to begin with it will become visable again. You will notice the file display change. If you make a file invisable the name will switch to reverse video and vice versa. That's all there is to it. There's not much to remember in the way of commands and you can't make a mistake and mess anything up. You can even use HIDE.CO to hide HIDE.CO, but if you do you will have to go into basic and type RUNM"HIDE.CO" and hit return to run it. In fact that's the way I like to do it. What's the use of having hidden files if you're going to have a program setting right there on the menu that will show people the hidden files. Kind of like locking the door and leaving the key in the lock, don't you think? Oh, one more thing, to get back to the menu from HIDE.CO just press return without typing anything when it asks for the Filename: One other thing I just thought of. When you run HIDE.CO you will notice a couple of files on the menu with names that look like swear words. You know, like this, $%^&*(@. These are special files, one is for holding any unsaved basic program you might have and the other one is the cut and paste buffer. Ignore them, you probable can't type the names anyway. Have fun. As always, if this program causes a warp core breach I take no responsibility. Harvey Chrisley [72446,3465] 3 April 92
