INTERNAL MODEM (M-100, T-102): For those who must rely on the internal modem of the Model 100 or Tandy 102 the "Fast" log on sequence is stored in a text file in your computer named ADRS.DO. Place your phone number, id#, and password in the proper place in the string. The STATS settings (for CIS) are M7I1E, and the pps can be 10 or 20. In this command string in the ADRS.DO file the GO:PLACE can be wherever you like to log on to, and bypasses the CIS main menu. In this string it will take you directly to CIS MAIL. GO:TANDYLAPTOP will take you directly to the M-100SIG. This is the string that should be in the ADRS.DO file: CIS:phone number<==^C?Uid###,####/GO:MAIL\pass word^M>: For those interested in the characters and what they do in this one line command string, The: Means: <> let me talk to another computer == pause 2 seconds for each = ? wait for the prompt (the U) ^M enter ^C ctrl-C key combination ! send the next character EXTERNAL MODEM (M-100, T-102, M-200): For use with an external modem attatched to a Model 100, Tandy 102, or a Model 200. The exact parantage of this program is uncertain, and was received with an external Anchor Signalman MK XII (1200 baud) modem bought from Tony Anderson. NOTE: To use with a 2400 baud external modem change line #11 - ..."COM:57I..." to ..."COM:67I...", in both parts of that line. To use Pulse dialing instead of Tone change line 13 "ATDT" to "ATDP". 0 ' Small Modem Driver 1 ' 2 ' Put your local CIS phone number, ID number, and password in line 13 3 ' 10 CLS:MAXFILES=2 11 IFPEEK(1)=171THENF$="COM:57I1ENI"ELSEF$="COM:57I1E" 12 OPENF$FORINPUTAS1:OPENF$FOROUTPUTAS2 13 F$="=ATS0!=0^M?K=ATDTcisphone^M?0=^C?Did###,####\pass word^M>" 14 V=VARPTR(F$) 15 IFPEEK(1)=171 THEN CALL25301,,PEEK(V+1)+256*PEEK(V+2):GOTO17 16 CALL21443,,PEEK(V+1)+256*PEEK(V+2) 17 MAXFILES=1 18 IF PEEK(1)=171 THEN CALL25454 ELSE CALL21589 For those who prefer a shorter version and have a Model 100 or Tandy 102 here is the MODEM.BA program that I refer to as *MY* MODEM.BA. Tho I refer to it only as such because it resides in my Model 100. I asked Mike Kelton for assistance with a problem related to the internal modem of the Model 100 and disk access after using the modem. While we where discussing the problem the "new" External Modem showed up from Tony Anderson, with its attendent program. Tony and Mike exchanged several quick messages on the forum with the net result of my possesion of this condensed version of MODEM.BA for my Model 100. 10 MAXFILES=1:OPEN "COM:57I1E" FOR INPUT AS 1:CLOSE 14 F$="=ATS0!=0^M?K=ATDT(cisphone)^M?0=^C?Did###,####\pass word^M>" 16 V=VARPTR(F$):CALL 21443,,PEEK(V+1)+256*PEEK(V+2):CALL21589 Be sure to place the cis phone number, your id number, and password in line 14. See notes above for changing baud rates and tone or pulse dial. To use with Mike Keltons SWEEP program change the last call in line 16 from CALL21589, to the start address you select(ed) for SWEEP. If you select( ed) 62660 as the start of SWEEP then the last call would be CALL62660, and not CALL21589 as in this example.
